You can use these machines for yarn braiding on pipes which are not easily bendable. Typically used for over braiding thermoplastic and rubber hose or plastic tubing for textile reinforced hose. The number of carrier options varies from 12 to 128. This variety leads to the maypole machine being used in niche wire applications where a rotary braiding machine is not suitable. Solid cord braiding machines are designed in such mechanism that carrier moves as per braiding and twisting way i.e. the cord produced on these type of solid cord braiding machine is looking wise twisted but also it can not be opened as in twisted cord. In solid cord braiding machine all carriers travel in the same direction, one carrier going under the two preceding it, forming a cord by producing a series of lock stitches. As the cord forms, it is drawn through a former, which keeps the cord central against the pull of the several carriers, thus forming an even, round and solid cord. These solid cord braiding machine are designed and intended for use where a solid braided rope is required without a core. They can, if necessary, be used with a core.
